A Tour of Calcia Hall

Sophomore Lucy Robinson, junior Melissa Graff and senior Mike Zawadzki gave The Montclarion a tour of Calcia Hall and its different areas that have been frustrating art students and faculty for a long time. A new arts building is planned to be constructed in the future, according to the university’s Capital Master Plan. The students showed different classrooms that have leaking, plumbing, heating and lighting problems. Watch the videos for more insight on how students feel about Calcia Hall.

Statements asking the Dean of the College of Arts, Ronald Sharps, are written all over the walls on the first floor of Calcia Hall.

This is the damage after a water fountain started to leak.

One of the sinks in the ceramics room is out of door due to flooding.

Some of the chairs in Rm. 135, which is the auditorium, have desks broken off from them.

The filter underneath the sink in R. 224 of Calcia Hall floods the room. When the it begins to leak, there is usually a bucket for the water.
